MULTILAYER. VISION 20/20
11. October 2020 - 23. April 2021
MULTILAYER VISION 20/20
This exhibition focuses on a phenomenon currently taking place in studios of concrete art: the multi-layered composition of the picture plane.
At the same time and in the same place, different structures overlap, which interact and yet remain individually recognizable.
Through their interaction, self-contained autonomy and referential coexistence, the space between these pictorial layers becomes a statement in itself: here, unique depth and energy are generated and felt.
The exhibition – curated by Cologne based artist Ivo Ringe and Soest based art historian Juliane Rogge – shows the many independent approaches of approximately 50 artists of different generations and nationalities in addressing this timely theme.
