DESCRIPTION:Hartmut Böhm (1938-2021) occupies an independent position in the field of minimal conceptual art. Since the 1960s\, he has been working in a pioneering manner and with great artistic innovative power on its fundamental themes\, such as the visualization of universal laws\, orders and systems.\nThe artistic translation of these relationships into drawings\, objects and three-dimensional works has shaped his multifaceted oeuvre. An intensive observation of the material world\, his very own view of the nature of materials and techniques\, as well as their artistic combinations\, are personal foundations of his work. Thus\, in addition to clarity of content and rationality\, he gives his works both distinctive aesthetic qualities and a sensual appeal. \nThe exhibition SYSTEM AND PROGRESSION in the ART ROOM SCHROTH at the Museum Wilhelm Morgner demonstrates this connection by means of a precise selection of works by Hartmut Böhm from five decades.
