SUMMARY:{:de}LICHT:ZEIT:FARBE.  Inge Dick{:}{:en}LIGHT:TIME:COLOUR. Inge Dick{:}
DESCRIPTION:What colour is light? The Austrian artist Inge Dick (*1941) takes us into a world of light colours never seen before. With experimental and equally poetic photography\, she traces the essence of light. In years of artistic research\, Inge Dick has succeeded in capturing the unbelievable wealth of colours of natural light and making the changing colour temperature of the day and seasons pictorial – in small-format individual works as well as large installations that can be seen in the ARTROOM SCHROTH. \nInge Dick has received numerous awards for her unique position in the field of contemporary experimental photography and film\, including the Austrian Art Award for Photography in 2020. \nThe exhibition is part of a collaborative project between Museum für Konkrete Kunst\, Ingolstadt\, Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz and Stiftung Konzeptuelle Kunst\, Soest\, curated by Dr. Gerda Ridler\, Director of Landesgalerie Niederösterreich.\nAccompanying this joint project on the occasion of Inge Dick’s 80th birthday\, Dr. Gerda Ridler published a richly illustrated monograph with outstanding text contributions\, in which the range of her more than 50-year oeuvre is impressively appreciated. It is released by Hirmer Verlag. \nLIGHT:TIME:COLOUR. SUMMARY:{:de}Kultur.Kontakt.Konkret - Sammlung Schroth zu Gast in Veszprém\, Europäische Kulturhauptstadt 2023{:}{:en}Kultur.Kontakt.Konkret - Exhibition of the Schroth Collection at Veszprém\, European Capital of Culture 2023{:}
DESCRIPTION:Kultur.Kontakt.Konkret – Exhibition of the Schroth Collection at Veszprém\, European Capital of Culture 2023 \n20 January until 2 April 2023. Művészetek Háza / House of Arts\, Veszprém;  Dubniczay-Palota / Dubniczay Palace \nChul Hyun Ahn | Douglas Allsop | Antje Blumenstein | Hartmut Böhm | Hellmut Bruch | Christoph Dahlhausen |  Spencer Finch | András Gál | Frank Gerritz | James Howell | IEPE | Callum Innes | Jo Kuhn | Markus Leitsch | François Morellet | Blinky Palermo | Anton Quiring | Winston Roeth | Klaus J. Schoen | Heiner Thiel | Günther Uecker | Ignacio Uriarte | Victor Vasarely | Pieter Vermeersch | Ulrich Wellmann | Martin Willing | Joan Witek \nWith an exhibition of carefully selected works from the SCHROTH COLLECTION\, the Stiftung Konzeptuelle Kunst (Conceptual Art Foundation) is part of the programme of the European Capital of Culture Veszprém-Balaton 2023. \nIn addition to paintings\, embossed prints\, kinetic sculptures\, light art\, site-specific installations\, murals and much more\, an outstanding ensemble from the Schroth Collection\, “CENTURY. idee bauhaus“\, is on display on the second floor of the museum. The project\, comprising 100 individual contemporary works\, was initiated by Matthias Seidel and Christiane Bail\, drj art projects\, and curated together with Simone Schimpf\, Sibylle Hoiman\, Frederik Schikowski and Frank F. Drewes. \nCarl-Jürgen Schroth – collector\, founder\, benefactor and chairman of the Stiftung Konzeptuelle Kunst – took Veszprém’s selection as European Capital of Culture as an opportunity to propose an exhibition cooperation with the related collection of László Vass\, who runs a private museum in Veszprém. The idea was received enthusiastically and refined in close cooperation. Thus\, this German-Hungarian cooperation now provides for a genuine exchange of collections for a limited period of time: While works from the Schroth Collection are on display at Veszprém from 20 January to 2 April 2023\, in return works from the Hungarian Vass Collection will be on display at the Museum Wilhelm Morgner with RAUM SCHROTH in Soest from 26 March to 11 June 2023.
