DESCRIPTION:Dichtung. In Arbeit\nIGNACIO URIARTE \nIn his multifaceted work\, Ignacio Uriarte (born 1972 in Krefeld\, lives in Valencia\, Spain) reveals the poetry and grace inherent in everyday materials and the repetitive processes of daily (working) life. \nAt RAUM SCHROTH\, Ignacio Uriarte presents new works on paper and specially conceived installations\, as well as works from the Schroth Collection\, where they have held a prominent position for over 15 years. These include\, for example\, drawings executed on a typewriter and an installation made of rulers. The consistently minimalist\, geometric vocabulary is imbued with a lively\, dynamic tension through manual execution and refined composition. ‘Reutlinger Fenster’ has a painterly and warmly luminous quality: the 17-part sequence displays an organic colour gradient using the classic office colours of black\, blue\, red and green\, with varying mixing ratios in each of the dense drawings executed in permanent marker on paper. \nThrough the factors of time and space\, the artist transforms the smallest\, seemingly banal elements—such as a carelessly scribbled line\, a simple punctuation mark\, or even a tiny cent coin—into poetry that conveys glimmers of light and iridescent effects\, the illusion of movement and space\, tension and stillness\, as well as great beauty. \nExhibition period\n10 May – 13 September 2026 \nOpening reception\nSaturday\, 9 May 2026\, 5 p.m. \nRAUM SCHROTH in the Museum Wilhelm Morgner\nThomästraße 1\, 59494 Soest\, GERMANY \n   \nFig.: Ignacio Uriarte\, Triangular Circle Suite\, 2021\, Typewriter drawing on paper (detail)\, © Ignacio Uriarte\, VG BILD-KUNST Bonn\, 2026\, PhC Simon Vogel
