Beat Zoderer

Bright colours and a strictly orthogonal structure characterise Beat Zoderer‘s Transparent Order. The diptych was created in the simplest way: the artist assembled two squares from three differently coloured transparent envelopes. The result is a work whose palette, composition and materiality are based on a banal, normed utensil from the office sphere, and whose translucent appearance appeals to both our eyes and our sense of touch. The Transparent Order appears both as an image and as a sculpture. Due to its translucent colour and intimate format, the work is also reminiscent of watercolour painting.
